Are You Ready For Some Football?

Don't forget Supper-Clubbers...we will be eating at the Mason's house this Sunday night instead of in Dellwood. So, bring your favorite finger food and a big appetite...it's Super Bowl Sunday night!

Are you ready for some football??

We're growing!

We cooked for Supper Clubbers last night. Eric grilled steaks (which most of us had to microwave to get done) and hotdogs and I fixed salads, baked potatoes, mac-n-cheese, pineapple casserole, breadsticks and dinner rolls. We had peanut butter pie and key lime pie for dessert.

And, wow, Supper Club is really growing! We had 18 last night (12 adults and 6 little ones) & ended up having to bring in an extra table from the shop. But, it was a lot of fun. Everyone (adults AND kids) get along so well in our group. During supper, we enjoyed telling stories of past beach trips. I am so ready for our beach vacation this year...I know it will be a blast!

Supper At The Wiggins'

We had a great supper at the Wiggins' house this Sunday. Beth fried up some pork tenderloin and served it with creamed corn, garden peas, mac-n-cheese & biscuits. She even baked a double-chocolate pound cake and topped it with ice cream...man, it was delicious! After supper, we talked about vacation a little bit more (yes, I know it's still 6 months away...but there's a lot of planning to do & it will be here before you know it!) Don't blame me & Robin for being such early-planners..we like being prepared!

The Griner's had finished moving in by Sunday & it's great to have them so much closer to us all! I know they were exhausted & I cannot wait to go see the new house.

The Mason's are back from their Disney trip & they had a really great time. As soon as Tracy sends over some pictures, I'll be sure to post them here.

Disney-Bound & Moving In...

Some members of Supper Club are going to be very busy this weekend. Tracy & Caroline are leaving today for their long-awaited trip to Disney World. I know they are going to have so much fun. And, Caroline doesn't know it yet, but Tracy was able (at the last minute...literally) to get her in to eat with the princesses! She will be ecstatic! I cannot wait to hear all about it & I will post some pictures here next week.

While some will be playing, others will be moving! That's right, Kevin, Stacy & the kids are finally moving into their new digs! I know they are so happy to be moving closer to work, school, and most importantly....all of us! We cannot wait for our first Supper Club at the new house!

And The Winner Is...

Finally, we have reached a decision about a beach house. Supper Clubbers will be traveling to Myrtle Beach this summer and staying at...Awesome Views! Isn't it just beautiful! It's very close to the house we normally rent. It has 7 bedrooms, 7.5 baths, a private pool (that makes a lot of people happy), an elevator (that makes Robin happy) and is very close to the pier (that makes me happy). I cannot wait & I know that we will have a great time! Our Supper Club is bigger this year, so I'm counting on the good times to be even bigger, too!

Everyone pack your bikinis, beverages & appetites...we're going on vacation!!

Getting Ready For Summer Already!

We enjoyed a delicious supper at the Mason's last night. Tracy prepared some great poppy-seed chicken (it may even rival Shannon's recipe), garlic rice, creamed corn, pineapple casserole & apple crisp with ice cream. It was great! Of course, no trip to the Mason's is complete without whipping out the Wii for a little while. Last night was Eric's first time playing it & like the rest of us....he's hooked!

After supper, it was time to get down to business (yeah, right!) and try to get some decisions made about vacation this year. Our little group is growing, so we're going to have to leave old-faithful Annabelle's this year for an up-grade. The only problem is deciding what to up-grade to. We all have been spoiled with how perfect Annabelle's is, that we now are having a hard time finding the right house for all our many needs (or actually wants, not needs). I promise that we will reach a decision, though, within the next couple of days & I will proudly announce the winning house here on our website! Until then, just pray that I don't pull every hair in my head out!

Late Pictures...

We had such a great meal Sunday night at Supper Club. Clay, Dana, Robin & PegLeg Shannon served up some grilled porkchops, corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, rolls, cream-cheese gooey squares & vanilla ice cream. It was delicious!

Here are a few pictures from our Christmas party at the Mason's a few weeks ago. Sorry, it has taken me so long to get them posted! Enjoy...
Here are the kids coming downstairs to open the presents that Santa dropped off...

But, of course, we tortured them by making them pose for a picture before giving out presents...

Here it's hard to tell if Robin & Beth are talking about something really important or if they are trying to pry something sticky from their teeth...

Here's Dana helping Baby Leah open her gift from "Santa"...

Say cheese, Clay...

And, by the look on Robin & Cliff's faces, it looks like Eric may have cut the cheese...

Welcome 2009!

I'd like to start off by saying a huge "Thank You" to everyone for all of the wonderful birthday wishes. I really enjoyed my birthday celebration at Mexico with my family & friends. It was so much fun! I have some of the greatest friends in the world...thank ya'll so much!

Supper Clubbers & friends rang in 2009 at our house Wednesday night. Good grief at the food we had...and, boy was it all delicious! 2008 has been a good (and sometimes not-so-good) year. We have welcomed new friends into our homes & hearts, and we have lost loved ones that will remain in our hearts. We now welcome 2009. May it be a wonderful, prosperous new year for us all & may it be filled with happiness & health.
