Merry Christmas!

Here are a few (late) pictures from the Mason's Christmas party....

We've learned that it's best to try to get an "organized" picture of the kids BEFORE allowing them to open presents (bribery always works)...

Here's Tracy bringing in Santa's gift bag...
Let the paper-tearing begin...

Don't let these sweet smiles fool you...

Everyone had a really good time. Thank you Cliff, Tracy & Caroline for putting on such a great Christmas party!

Plenty of Pizza

We enjoyed having Supper Club in Dellwood this week. Even though Shannon was worried with the heat not working, it turned out to be just fine with the fire going in the fireplace. Shannon had enough food to feed 2 small armies when we arrived! We had pizzas, chicken wings and breadsticks for supper and for dessert, we had our choice of chocolate cheesecake, sugar cookies or cinnamon breadsticks. The kids enjoyed playing together, and we even had visitors when some of the hunters staying at the hunting club joined us.

I continued my quest to feel Baby Ben move, but even with Kevin blowing against Stacy's tummy, he continued to be shy. But, before we headed home, I finally got to feel a swift kick (or punch) from him! I cannot wait for Baby Ben and Baby Mason to get here so we can all spoil them both!

Supper Club Catch-Up...With Hyphens

Wow...I'm running behind on Supper Club posts. I guess all the turkey & dressing has me dragging a bit. So, here we go...

Sunday-before-last, Supper Club was held at the Griner's. They served up some delicious fall-off-the-bone ribs (I don't know why I'm hung up on hyphens in this post...according to Kevin, it's usually exclamation points), peas, corn-on-the-cob (there we go again) and biscuits. For dessert, Stacy had both a pecan pie & chocolate pie with ice cream.

Supper was delicous, but unfortunately, it was completely forgotten about once Savannah, Tyson & their "visitor" provided our entertainment for the night. I never knew an about-to-give-birth-next-month woman could jump like that!! Even after the visitor was kicked out of the house, Patches continued to entertain us!

Last night, Supper Club was at the Hammock's. With a hard-to-follow meal at the Griner's and Thanksgiving just a few days before, I decided to not even fool with trying to match up with those meals. So, I slung a frozen lasagna & some breadsticks in the oven and called it a meal! Of course, I did make the most important part of the dinner...dessert! We had a choice of peanut butter pie or strawberry shortcake to satisfy our sweet tooth. And, some of us, had both ;) !!

We're Just Full Of It...

...Surprises that is!! Yes, these week's Supper Club was ANOTHER big surprise. This time it was a surprise Baby Shower for the Griner family.

Beth prepared a Thanksgiving feast for the big event including turkey, dressing, turnips, sweet potato souffle, macaroni & cheese and yeast rolls. For dessert, there were three different kinds of pie to choose from including pecan, chocolate and apple.

After getting our bellies full, it was time for presents.
They received so many nice things to help them get ready for their new little arrival.
And, we were even serenaded with a little guitar music while Stacy opened presents...
After shower presents, Stacy still had more gifts to unwrap....late birthday presents! This family name photo frame was the hit of the night & great gift idea from Shannon...
Kevin, Stacy, Findlay & Riley: We are so happy to have you as part of our Supper Club family. You are absolutely some of greatest friends we could ever ask for and we are thankful to have you in our lives. Baby Ben is going to be a very blessed little boy to be born into the Griner family. He will have such loving & devoted parents, and siblings that will be there for him always. We cannot wait to meet this new little bundle of joy and welcome him whole-heartedly into our Supper Club family and into our hearts. We love ya'll!

Surprise...No...Yes, Surprise!

Supper Club this week was at the Mason's and was full of surprises! What started off as a supposed-to-be surprise birthday party for Stacy ended up surprising us when the birthday girl wasn't able to make it due to being out of town. And, this was a surprise to me when I showed up bearing her gift! Tracy cooked a fabulous meal of boston butt, corn-on-the cob, pineapple casserole, macaroni & cheese and cheesy garlic biscuits. We had both cake & brownies with ice cream for dessert. With ALL the food Tracy cooked, we were surprised when no one was able to make it for different reasons except Shannon, Molly & me.

Sunday night, Caroline eagerly awaited everyone's arrival so that she could reveal her new surprise...
That's right, our Supper Club family is growing again! The Mason's will happily greet their new bundle of joy sometime around June 18th, which is also Tadd's birthday. It's going to be great having all of these little babies around to snuggle with soon.

What a wonderful surprise!

My Personal Chef

Shannon served up some of my absolute favorite foods last night at Supper Club. We had some delicious poppy-seed chicken, macaroni & cheese, creamed corn, garden peas & lacey cornbread....well, some of us had lacey cornbread! It was all so good. And, for dessert, we had New York Style cheesecake and Halloween cookies. I think since it's getting cooler weather & I'll not have much need for a "yardboy" for a while, I'm going to hire Shannon as my personal chef!

"Surprise"

This week's Supper Club at the Hammock's turned out to actually be a surprise birthday party for Tracy. I think we may have actually surprised her!All of the Supper Clubbers were there along with several members of Tracy's family...
After a meal of baked ham, corn-on-the-cob, garden peas, pineapple casserole & yeast rolls, it was time for cupcakes, birthday cake and ice cream....
...a little playing in the toy room...

...and then presents....

Now...people...hold onto your seats. You are about to see something that has not only never been seen by anyone...I'm positive that it's NEVER been done before. And, I promise this really happened. It is not a doctored photographed...

Hauntingly Great Supper!

What a wonderful Supper Club we had at the "haunted" house of the Griner's last Sunday. Everything was decorated so "halloweeny", and the kids (& myself) loved going from room to room looking at all the new fall decor. And, what a great supper we had, too! Baked spaghetti, garlic bread, salads & chocolate cake...mmm! After supper, the kids enjoyed a "slow" ride around the yard on the Ranger with Kevin while all the moms watched out the bay window & bit their fingernails. It was a great get-together!

Pouting Boys

It was the Wiggins' turn for Sunday night Supper Club this week. Beth, Tadd & Jaxson served up some delicious baked chicken, broccoli & cheese, peas, mashed potatoes and yummy cheddar biscuits. For dessert, everyone loved the hershey bar cake. And, even though the "boys" pouted over not getting to sit at the Wiggins' new dining room table, we still had a wonderful time!

Mexican Supper Club

After a month-long hiatus, Supper Club finally got back to it's normal schedule and was held at the Mason's last night. Baby Leah said the blessing and gave "skanks" for our food. Then, everyone feasted on Mexican cuisine. We were served hard & soft-shelled tacos, beans, mexican rice, and hamburger dip with chips. For dessert, we enjoyed a delicious mocha-almond pie. It was so great to get back on schedule & see everyone together again!

Hunting Birds & Grilling Chickens...

A dove shoot provided the entertainment for Supper Clubbers this weekend. Dressed in their camo, everyone gathered to hunt doves at the Hammock's Sunday afternoon. It was a great shoot, and everyone seemed to have had a really fun time. I believe the final tally was somewhere around 260 birds....not bad at all!

During the shoot, Shannon was grilling up some delicious chicken quarters and hot dogs. We served them up with some baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, creamed corn, and butterbeans. For dessert, Mrs. Lisa brought over some yummy pecan and sweet potato pies. It was a great way to finish a wonderful (but very hot) day in the bird field!

Happy Labor Day!

Supper Club was postponed this week due to the holiday weekend. I hope everyone had a fun, safe & family-filled Labor Day. We'll see you all next weekend!

SC at Hammockville

This week, we celebrated Mrs. Lisa's birthday during supper club at the Hammock's. We grilled up some steaks and served baked potatoes, corn on the cob and garlic bread with them. For dessert, there was a choice of an apple cobbler or a chocolate pecan cake with ice cream. It was a great time socializing with friends and family!

Busy Supper Club Weekend!

Supper Clubbers were very busy this weekend and seemed to spread all over Georgia! The Hammock's and the Mason's joined Shannon & Robin in Savannah Saturday night for a surprise birthday "night-out" for Robin. We enjoyed a great supper at The Lady & Sons restaurant & then had a blast at Savannah Smiles. It was definitely a night to remember...for those of us who do remember it anyway! The Wiggins' were busy that night throwing a baby shower for Beth's brother & sister-in-law. They had a big crowd & everything turned out great. Clay, Dana & baby Leah headed off to Atlanta this weekend to see Dora Live. I know Leah thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Griner's were busy with Stacy's family being in town for the weekend. And, when her family left, it was time for them to cook for their next family....supper clubbers! Kevin grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, while Stacy cooked up some baked beans and cole slaw. For dessert, we had some delicious "Gooey Buttercake"...or "Booey Guttercake" for those of us who cannot for the life of us pronounce it correctly!

Happy Birthday, Robin!

Happy Birthday, Robin! Everyone at Supper Club hopes you have a wonderful & blessed day today!

Sex in a Pan

The Wiggins' cooked up a great supper for us all last Sunday. We enjoyed a wonderful spiral ham with butter beans, macaroni & cheese, green bean casserole and biscuits. For dessert, we had "Sex in a Pan", and it was delicious! How could something with that name containing chocolate chips, reeses cups, caramel, chocolate cake & cool whip not be delicous?

Everyone had a great time visiting with one another & picking on Shannon & Eric about their new sunburns. And, of course, the kids had a great time playing together! Then, everyone was headed back home. Now that school's back in, we all seem to eat & scatter pretty quickly!

IT'S A BOY! IT'S A BOY!
Findlay & Riley will have a baby brother!

Today's The Day!

*ATTENTION* *ATTENTION*
Today is the Big Day! Later this afternoon, we will all be learning the sex of our newest Supper Club member. That's right...the Griner's should find out (if baby Griner cooperates) today if they are having a boy or girl. I know Findlay & Riley cannot wait to learn if they will be welcoming home a new brother or sister in just a few short months. Supper Clubbers are all so excited to hear the big news & I'll be sure to post it here as soon as we find out.
I wonder if Riley & Jaxson will even up the score a little with a new baby boy...or if the four girls will be adding another little princess onto their roster. I guess we'll just have to wait until 1:30 to find out...stay tuned!

Game Night Supper Club

Last night was "Game Night" for Supper Club at the Masons'. And, no, I don't mean "game" as in the kind you play...it was wild "game" that we ate. We had an assortment of wild animals to choose from...fried turkey, duck & chicken and even some grilled goat. Yes...I said goat...as in "baaa-baaa"! We also enjoyed some creamy mashed potatos, salad and garden peas. It was all very good (well, except the goat which was courtesy of Mr. Hammock). However, nothing could top the dessert...fudge brownies topped with homemade ice cream. Mmm...wish I had some right now!

Dellwood Supper Club

Sunday night, Supper Clubbers gathered in Dellwood for some delicious poppy-seed chicken (my favorite), macaroni & cheese, garden peas and rolls. For dessert, we had ice cream and a birthday cake which honored Mr. Charles' and Eric's birthdays. Mr. Charles celebrated his 83rd birthday on Monday, and Eric will be celebrating his 33rd on Thursday. We hope both guys have a wonderful & special birthday!

Happy Birthday, Caroline!

Today is Miss Caroline's 6th birthday! We all wish her a very happy birthday & hope she has a wonderful, blessed day. We celebrated her big day last Saturday with an iCarly party at the Mason's clubhouse. The kids had such a great time on both the waterslide & trampoline. It turned out to be a perfect day weather-wise, too!

Here are a few pictures from her party...

Happy Birthday, Molly!

This past weekend, we celebrated Molly's 4th birthday with a Candyland party. All of the kids really seemed to enjoy the waterslides and, of course, all the CANDY!!

Here are a few pictures of Molly & our other Supper Club kids...

The next night, we gathered back at the house for MORE chicken wings. I think we'll still be eating wings at our house when her next birthday rolls around!
